law is of particular importance in the academic setting. The University has established a
Copyright Policy to inform and assist employees and students in copyright law
compliance. Portland State University employees and students are expected to exercise good faith effort to comply
with the provisions of the Copyright Policy as well as current U.S. Copyright law
and any license or contract terms and provisions. Prohibited copying practices are those not specifically
allowed by the:
- U.S. Copyright laws
- Fair use guidelines
- Licenses or contractual agreements
- Express permission from copyright holders
