Big Plans: Portland State University Library
Framed by the towering copper beech tree sustained inside the curved international-style facade, the Portland State University Library is a community center for knowledge and information. Gifts from people like you strengthen our ability to help library users tap into the tremendous resources available in the information age.
Portland State University Library Fund

As the region's largest academic library, the Library opens the doors of understanding, creativity and opportunity to Portland State's 26,000 students as well as the Portland community.
Contributions provide the Portland State University Library with the tools to guide users along rapidly multiplying paths to knowledge—regardless of format and regardless of the complexity of the problem. Your gift of general support to the Library Fund will help us provide students, faculty and community members access to the Library's 1.3 million volume collection and help to expand it to better serve PSU's growing student body and expanding curriculum.
Friends of the Library

Begun in 1994, this group of library advocates participates in interesting promotional and fundraising activities throughout the year, including the annual event and the Library's book sales. Basic membership is $50 per year ($25 for students from other universities and colleges) and provides members with a subscription to the quarterly Leaf newsletter.

Adopt-A-Journal

Since 1994, Portland State University Library supporters have generously provided subscriptions to some of the hundreds of journals and periodicals available at the Library. To specify the subject area or the specific journal you would like to support, contact Helen H. Spalding, University Librarian, for more information about this important way to give to the library.
Library Endowment Funds

Endowment funds provide support in perpetuity for library resources and activities. This is an excellent way to commemorate a loved one, or make certain that books and materials will always be available in the subject areas you care about most. You may give to one of our existing endowments, or you may begin one of your own in honor or memory of. Learners of the future will thank you! Contact Helen H. Spalding, University Librarian, for more information about this important way to give to the library.
