Literature Online -- LION:

Project Muse: Scholarly journals online:
Provides access to full text scholarly journals online in a variety of disciplines including the arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics. In general expect to find the more current journals from 1996 to the present.

Oxford English Dictionary:
The OED is a comprehensive record of the English language and generally regarded as its definitive dictionary. The OED is a guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books. The OED is considered the starting point for all scholarly work regarding words in English.

Oxford Reference Online: Multidisciplinary database of approximately 100 dictionaries, handbooks and other reference books published by Oxford University Press. Check for included titles by broad subject area.

Citations to 500 English-language periodicals in the areas of archaeology, classical studies, art, performing arts, philosophy, history, music, linguistics, literature, and religion. Provides article citations to the major

Arts and Humanities Citation Index:
Citation databases are multidisciplinary databases of bibliographic information gathered from thousands of scholarly journals. The databases may be searched by: topic, author, publication journal, author address, cited author, cited work, or cited year.
