Bureau of Land Management maps have a scale of 1:100,000 and are filed by state in Map Case 12, drawers 10-15.
BLM maps appear in two series:
All maps are color coded to show land management status (BLM, Forest Service, state, etc. as well as private land). Other features on the maps include transportation, topography (elevation contours), rivers and lakes, towns and elevation in meters as well as feet. Surface-mineral maps contain the same information as the surface management maps and cover the same areas but have the federally-owned mineral rights overprinted.
