THEMATIC MAPS

 

In addition to containing maps from government agency-published series, the Map Collection also houses
thematic maps. These include political, physical, relief and topographic maps of regions throughout the world, ecological maps and ethno-linguistic distribution maps, to name a few. You will also find select maps published by the National Geographic Society in this portion of the Map Collection.

Thematic maps are filed by area and then by map title in Map Cases 17 & 18.

Searching the library's online catalog, Vikat, you will find records for the majority of the thematic maps in our collection. We also encourage you to browse the drawers, however, as some maps have not yet been cataloged.
