Michael L. Printz Award

The Michael L. Printz Award was established in 2000, and is granted yearly to a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature. It is named for a Topeka, Kansas school librarian who was a long-time active member of the Young Adult Library Services Association.

The following list includes the award winners, and their respective call numbers in the Millar Library. The Children’s Literature Award Winners are all shelved together at the beginning of the PZ call number range in the southeast corner of the 5th floor. Titles without call numbers are not currently owned by the Millar Library. Ask for help at the reference desk on the 2nd floor if you need assistance with obtaining a copy from another library.

The list of award winners and their locations in the Millar Library can be retrieved by entering
“Michael L. Printz” as a keyword search in the Vikat online catalog.
