Google Scholar is a subset of Google. It allows you to search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from publishers, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar is currently in beta version, meaning it is undergoing continual improvements and revisions.
As part of our pilot project at Portland State Library, links to Find It @ PSU now show up in Google Scholar search results, directing Portland State users from citations in Google Scholar to full-text available from the Portland State Library, as well as to other library services.
Remember: Use Google Scholar as a supplement to, not a substitute for, the many other research databases and collections available at Portland State Library. Contact a Portland State reference librarian for recommendations on how to search more quickly and efficiently at 503.725.5874 or Ask Us!
If you are coming to Google Scholar from within the Portland State University network (anywhere on campus, or if you have already signed in through the University Library's proxy server), these links will automatically show up in Google Scholar search results.
If you are not coming from within the Portland State network, you can still configure your Google Scholar Preferences to display Find It @ PSU links:
